Community Events

Each year, the Martin-Pitt Partnership for Children organizes and hosts a variety of events targeting the parents and families in our community, as well as the providers of local child care facilities. As we continuously work to improve and expand, our goal remains the same — to ensure that every child in our community enters kindergarten with everything they need for a life of success.

We are constantly searching for new and improved ways to connect and serve more families. If you have an idea for an event, would like to give feedback on any of our previous events, or would like more information on one of the events listed below, please email, or call our Community Outreach Director at 252.758.8885.

Held each Spring in Martin and Pitt counties, our KidsFest events are a fantastic way to not only connect the Partnership with the families in our community, but to connect families with invaluable resources and information that benefits their daily lives.

The 2018 Pitt County KidsFest is scheduled for March 24 at the Greenville Convention Center. The 2018 Martin County KidsFest is scheduled for April 21 at the Bob Martin Agricultural Center. For more information, check out our blog post!

Touch A Truck

Held each Fall in Greenville, Touch A Truck is a great way for children of all ages to get up close and personal with the trucks and machines that make our daily lives possible. Due to construction at Physicians East, this year’s event will be held in Uptown Greenville. For more information, please visit our Facebook page here. If you are a business or organization and would like to participate, please email Community Outreach Director Amanda Parmelee at

Texas Ho Down

Each November, the Martin-Pitt Partnership for Children partners with Texas Roadhouse for our annual Texas Ho Ho Ho Down. With support from local businesses, the Partnership offers games and activities for children and families, as well as photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus at Texas Roadhouse. Stay tuned for this year’s date!
