Child Care Resource and Referral 

This program will provide the following expanded child care resource and referral care services to Martin and Pitt Counties: 

• Providing information to parents enabling them to make informed choices for their child’s/children’s care

• Counseling and referrals to parents based on need

• Building supply of child care resources

• Coordinating and providing current and high quality training to the early childhood community and families

• Offering on-going technical assistance to both providers getting started and to existing providers in an effort to ensure quality

• Connecting families and the public to a network of child related services available in the community

• Maintaining a database that reports current child care supply in the community

• Working closely with area business and industry to assure that adequate child care exists for employees
