Open Positions

Part-Time Quality Enhancement Specialist: The Martin-Pitt Partnership for Children is hiring for a Quality Enhancement Specialist based in Martin County. This position works directly with child care providers in licensed centers and homes to improve the quality of care.  The Quality Enhancement Specialist will attend staff, team, and regional meetings with QUEST team and follow state, local, and national guidelines for technical assistance and coaching. The Quality Enhancement Specialist position requires CPR/First Aid training. The individual will provide professional development trainings to professional development providers and community members. This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development and Family Relations, or related field from an accredited institution and two years paid experience in a child care work environment is required. Experience working with diverse populations is preferred. Essential Skills: Knowledge of the NC Child Care Licensing System and the Environmental Ratings Scales, knowledge of local, state, and federal early childhood issues, resources, and legislative processes, and knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices and techniques. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is in a traveling office environment, with travel to child care homes and centers 50-60% of the time. To apply, please send a resume and cover letter to Sharon Cooper, scooper@mppfc.org, or by mail to 415 East Blvd. Suite 200, Williamston, NC 27892.
